TARABA: Garba, From A Security Guard To A Lecturer

Adamu Garba has scored a goal in academic field; keeping an excellent security of a university established in a seeming security challenging environment to be able to secure for himself not only a degree certificate but also lecturing appointment, having mastered the sociology of the environment he has been keeping guard as well as other environments the course work and the literature could get to expose him to.

Malam Adamu Garba the Fulani herdsman kept cattle rearing aside for studies. Having obtained a National Certificate of Education NCE, the ambition for further studies counseled him to pick a job as a Security Guard at the Federal University Wukari, Taraba state, Northeast Nigeria, to challenge banditry among other types of insecurity from encroaching the university.

Garba ambitiously added studies to his security guard job by securing admission, through direct entry, to major in sociology in the same school he was keeping security.

Garba has effectively and efficiently safeguarded both the security job and the studies. He graduated with second class upper degree that upgraded his carrier to a lecturer with the Department of Sociology in the same School

Garba was first employed as Security Guard with NCE on 1st September, 2012 on CONTISS 5/2 He rose up to CONTISS 8/2 in same department. Having graduated earlier this year, he is now a Graduate Assistant.
