COVID-19: Adamawa Discharges first index case, four other recovered

The first covid-19 registered index case in Adamawa state and four other infected persons who are clinically being managed at the government isolation centre in Yola, the state capital are recovered and are being discharged on Monday, after having tested negative twice in line with NCDC protocols.

The state government has on April 21, 2020 broke the news that a COVID-19 case, was recorded in the state.

Although all the close contacts of the index case have tested negative to COVID-19, other 16 cases were recorded in various parts of the t.

Governor Fintiri of Adamawa commended the front line workers for their sacrifice and bravery.

“This is an indication that the battle against Corona virus can be won collectively,” Fintiri said.
