The North East Development Commission NEDC has donated an ambulance to the Federal Medical Centre, FMC Yola.
Presenting the ambulance at the NEDC office in Yola, Adamawa state, northeast Nigeria, the state coordinator, Miss Fatima Bakari urged the management and staff of FMC Yola not to relent in rendering effective and efficient healthcare delivery services.
Receiving the donated ambulance on behalf of the management of FMC Yola, the Assistant Director Audit, Mr. Lazarus Zirra commended the interventional activities of NEDC, assuring that the ambulance will be utilised for the purpose, which the donation was intended.
Zirra was accompanied by the head of maintenance, the chief driver and the head of information and media relations of the health facility.
Inspecting the ambulance after delivery by FMC management of FMC Yola, the Medical Director, Prof. Auwal Muhammad Abubakar thanked the NEDC for the donation, which he considered as timely.
FMC Yola is among the Covid-19 screening and treatment centres in the federation and by extension, in the world.
