Adamawa State chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Reverend Dr. Stephen Dami Mamza has tested positive for coronavirus, FOMBINATIMES can reveal.

The CAN Chairman, who is also a member of the Adamawa State COVID-19 committee in a statement today 23rd August 2020, confirmed that NCDC confirmed his status after his sample was tested.

Mamza said as a result of his COVID-19 status, he has gone into isolation.

“One lesson that I want people to appreciate and understand is that everybody has to make himself available for testing if need be,” he said.

While noting that testing positive for the virus was not a death sentence, the Bishop urged people to pray for him and all who tested positive.

Mamza urged the general public to take preventive protocols seriously in order to help stop the spread of the pandemic.

Mamza said in compliance with COVID-19 protocols, he went into self-isolation. He has already started treatment as well.

Nikki Digie a social analyst would say that if religious leaders who seemed to be a level closer to the worshipped Creator could be infected, “who’ll say that Coronavirus, like April Fool, is a 2019 prank?”.
