Mamza is a man of faith. He never gives up on the power of the Almighty God to do the impossible – Fintiri

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state has urged the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Adamawa State chapter, Bishop Stephen Dami Mamza to be strong and courageous even as he tested positive for COVID-19 virus.

In a press release Monday, signed by the press secretary to the governor, Mr, Humwashi Wonosikou, Fintiri described “Bishop Mamza as a man of faith that has never given up on the power of the Almighty God to do the impossible. I believe he will come out stronger from this trial”.

Fintiri commended the Cleric’s strong will in taking to Twitter to announce his status on a Sunday, describing it as heart warming and a testament of strong faith in God and concern for humanity.

Fintiri described as enormous the contributions of Bishop Dami to the fight against the pandemic in the state as a member of the Covid-19 Containment Committee through creating awareness on the reality of the disease and working extra hard with other members to flatten curve.

“Our thoughts are with Bishop Dami Mamza at this trying period. I am optimistic that he will be fine because testing positive is not a death sentence”. Fintiri said.

The Governod assures the CAN chairman that his contributions towards stemming the tide of the pandemic is appreciated. “The Government and People of the state owe You our support and prayers”.

Fintiri advised the public not to let their guards down but to ensure they keep faith with the protocols of self distancing, washing of hands, wearing of face masks and others as directed by the NCDC, warning that the pandemic is real.
