Chairman Maiha local government council, northern senatorial district of Adamawa state, northeast Nigeria, Dr Idi Ali Amin, Rumbun Adamawa has felicitated with the former Vice President Atiku Abubakar GCON, Waziri Adamawa, the Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party on his 74th birthday anniversary.
The statement Wednesday, issued by the Rumbun Adamawa and made available to the Periscope has described the Waziri Adamawa as a political treasure, his mentor
“Waziri is no doubt beyond a professor in the field of practical politics. Those at the fitting time and condition with its establishment to date, can, have been and are benefiting from the American University of Nigeria AUN, founded by the Waziri Adamawa. However, for people like us who have been under his tutelage, which of course long predated the establishment of AUN, are more than grateful to have a political mentor; a politics personified beyond the four walls of theoretical classroom.
“A political philosophy I acquired from the septuagenarian technocrat, the aristocratic politician, a speaking democrat is the politics without bitterness,” Idi said.
At 74, Atiku was not politically tired to think of retiring, the council chairman said he has got a lot to offer, a contribution to good governance Nigeria would not miss to benefit.
“I join governor Fintiri in saying that this detribilised Nigerian has continued to be a part of our lives and continues to give Adamawa and Nigeria hope and leadership that typically comes from an exemplary leader, and we are grateful for his service to Nigeria,” the council chairman said.
Dr. Idi Amin has prayed Amen to the congratulations, wishing the Waziri more “Atikulated” years to be able to articulate the gains of democracy for prosperous Nigeria.
