The youths in Muchala Ward, Mubi North local government area, northern senatorial district, northeast Nigeria have registered their support to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state and the Chairman Mubi North local government, Hon Sulaiman Yahaya Sudi, saying “Muchala is PDP right, left and centre”.
The special assistant on media to the chairman, Mubi North LGA, Mr. Ahmed Wuronage Mubi, reported that youths have in their number, on Friday, laid what could be described as solidarity siege, insisting that the Hon Chairman and his entourage should stop to receive their message, while returning from the condolence visit they paid to Muchala Ward PDP Youth Leader, Honourable Nicholas Williams, over the death of his mother.
Muchala youths commended the Fintiri led government at the state level and Sudi leadership at the local government level for the dividends of democracy, hitherto denied them.
The youths said they have been like God’s bits of wood, with their ward battered and abandoned for decades, then God provided them with succour in the PDP led government to end their misery.
For the first time they would smile as the Vimtim to Muchala and Tsamiya to Bazza roads projects awarded by the Fintiri led government have reached advanced stages.
The Muchala Youths are reported to have lambasted the senator representing Adamawa north senatorial district, Sen. Elisha Ishaku Abbo known as Cliff, an indigene of Muchala, who recently defected to APC, lamenting that “he has not brought any project to his constituency, yet he is restless in castigating the angel of goodwill, that brings dividends of democracy to his doorstep; that which he couldn’t do, rather than casting shadows”.
The youth gave reasons that they voted PDP SAK in the state simply to get the elected united in service to the electorates but Sen. Abbo betrayed has betrayed the arrangement by causing dissension and defecting to the opposition party, the APC with the aim to pulldown the house he was nurtured.
The youths commended Fintiri and Sudi for ignoring the vituperation without any air about transfer of aggression “as Muchala projects are in progress”.
The youths said no one would join whoever and for whatever reason, obviously personal to defect to any party from the ruling PDP in the state.
Responding, Hon Sudi commended the Muchala youths for their boldness and what he considered as positive thought. He urged them to play the electorates’ politics without bitterness, rather than being manipulated into joining the use and dump thugs kind of politics.
He said that PDP led government in the state was known to be fulfilling her campaign promises; “recall during the 2019 campaign, we said, if given the mandate, we would built road leading to Muchala and this road is courtesy of our promise; no one should deceive you that it is not a Fintiri led government’s project.
Sudi assured the youths that their leadership is justice and fairness favoured. He said he would not promise taking responsibility of everything but has assured them of skill acquisition empowerment, which he said would be launched in Muchala; mechanics would be empowered, those engaged in irrigation farming would be provided with water pumps and those who would want to open a Barbashop would be empowered with generators and hair clippers; additionally, women that would want to go into tailoring business would be empowered with sewing machines, among other interventions.
Wuronage would reveal that the “show of solidarity by the Muchala youths was simply encouragingly amazing”.
