The new commissioner Adamawa Police Command, CP Aliyu Adamu Alhaji is commended for tackling the first rather embarrassing security challenge in which a district head was whisked away hours after the CP assumed duty on Monday, with assurance of an improved security for peace in Adamawa.

Adamawa State Police Command has confirmed the release of the district head of Mayo Farang and Sarkin Noman Adamawa, Ardo Mustapha Ardo Ahmadu, few hours after having been abducted around midnight at his palace in Mayo-Farang, Mayo-Belwa local government area of Adamawa State, northeast Nigeria.

Not only the Mayo-Farang, but the conversation across the state has been “no subject is safe if bandits could raid a palace, in spite. The guards and whisk away a district head unchallenged”.

It is note stated whether or not ransom was paid to secure monarch’s freedom. The Police Public Relations Officer DSP Sulaiman Yahaya Nguroje has however revealed that the monarch has returned to his palace in robust good health and that the security operatives were after the kidnapper kingpins as much as they have taken measures that would address criminality in the state.
