Adamawa 2019: Gundiri, 226 Councilors, 21 LG Bosses Dump Bindow For Modi

Engr Marcus Gundiri has publicly announced the withdrawal of his gubernatorial ambition because, like an ironist who nursed a rather radical and continuing doubt over his final vocabulary and is somewhat impressed with other people’s final vocabulary he considered to be superior to his articulation, he was said to be impressed by Dr Mahmood Halilu Ahmed Modi’s final vocabulary more or a matured manifesto that was aimed at getting Adamawa out of the consequences of lies and deceit; out of diversion by misappropriation of public funds out of dysfunctional healthcare, educational decay, public service ruin and economic doom rather than doom that defined clueless leadership and administration. The duo are agreed that Adamawa state ought not be given definition typical of the republic of liars.

In Modi, Gundiri with his entire supporters, has found a worthy governor to support.

Similarly, the forum of former vice chairmen and elected councilors in Adamawa state have pitched tent away from the state governor Sen. Muhammadu Bindow Jibrilla over non -payment of their entitlements, and now vowed to support Buhari’s in-law Dr Mahmood Halilu Ahmed ahead of APC governorship primaries slated for next Saturday.

The forum noted with great concern that as grassroot politicians, who have been contributing for the change mantra people are agitating for were neglected and dumped by the Bindow led administration hence the need to pitch tent and work for another APC ‘ s candidate.

While addressing newsmen on Sunday, Mr Dedan Menayi vice chairman of the forum said that the elected former vice chairmen and legislative councilors that served under the Bindow led administration were constrained to withdraw their support,’’ for the governor’s inability to pay medical and health workers, as well as local government staff for over eight months.

‘’Governor Bindow in his usual deceit, have several times promised to pay furniture allowances to all former vice chairmen, secretaries, ,supervisory councilors, legislative councilors and advisers but he had refused to fulfil his promise.

‘’With these few among other failures of governor Bindow, we are withdrawing our total loyalty and support and calling on all patriotic APC governorship aspirants most especially Dr Mahmood Halilu Ahmed –Modi to come and rescue the state,’’ Menayi said.

While corroborating, a former councilor Mr Moses Fwa decried that their salaries were reduced to 50%. ‘’ Governor Bindow has reduced our tenure and salary to 50%.

‘’Each councilor is being owed N7.8 million, we have 105 supervisory councilors, 226 legislative councilors, 21 vice chairmen.

‘’The aftermath of this have led to separation in marriages ,eviction by landlords and closure of many small and intermediate businesses in the state; while failure of the governor to pay salaries have also led to withdrawal of our children from school,’’ he lamented.

Another councilor Bilhatu Titus regretted that they were afraid to face the electorates to campaign again

“While in local government council, we didn’t execute any project, no money, no people oriented projects by the present administration. How do you expect us to campaign for the governor?

‘’Governor Bindow has no regard to party EXCO,and councilors hence we resolved to vomit our grievances and we are dumping him for another candidate that can salvage the state,’’ Bilhatu said.

It could be recalled that Dr Umaru Bindir the secretary to the state government, had last week at APC Secretariat, announced that the governor had settled all outstanding salary arrears including that of the former councilors.

Could it be another rather advanced public service lies and deceit? Who could be the liar?

Efforts to get the state commissioner local government and chieftaincy affairs Mustapha Barkindo Aliyu for a response had proved abortive as his GSM lines were switched off.
