It is frightening, kidnappings have become so rampant recently in Adamawa state.
Barely few hours after Malam Gaude Maianguwa, the ward head of Wauru-Jabbe ward of Yola south LGA was released from the kidnappers on payment of N2m ransom, a university don with Modibbo Adama University of Technology MAUTECH Yola, Prof. Adamu Jata was reported to be kidnapped.
Prof. Jata the agricultural scientist was kidnapped in the early hours on Saturday at his residence close to Police station, Girei local government area of Adamawa state.
The kidnappers were said to have communicated to Jata’s family, demanding a ransom of five million naira.
It could be recalled that about three weeks ago, a dealer of Dangote flour was reported to have been kidnapped at night in his residence at Jambutu ward, Yola north local government area of Adamawa state.
