Batch “C” Corps Members Deploy to Adamawa take oath to commence orientation

The 1,700 Corps Members deployed to Adamawa State for the 2018 Batch “B” (stream 11) have on Monday taken oath to officially commenced orientation.

Speaking at the ceremony, Governor Muhammadu Bindow who welcomed them to the state assured them of their safety throughout the service year.

Bindow who was represented by the State Head of Service, Dr. Amos Edgar, said his administration placed priority attention on security of its citizens at all time.

Bindow assured all Corp members posted to the state of their safety throughout the service year.

“It is possibly that some of you accepted your deployment to Adamawa state with some reservations in the light of the numerous challenges bedeviling our dear country presently.

“I wish to however urge you to cast away such fears because my administration in conjunction with all security apparatus in the state is leaving no stone unturned to ensure the security and safety of all inhabitants.

“More so, special attention is given to work places and residential areas of corps members. This is done with the aim of creating a conducive environment for you to thrive as you diligently contribute your quota to national unity, integration and development,” Bindow said.

In his speech, the State Coordinator of NYSC, Mallam Abubakar Mohammed, who spoke on the role of the scheme in promoting national unity, integration and development, urged the corps members to use the opportunity to shape their lives for the better.

“I urged you to take the orientation course serious. The course is designed to serve as your roadmap towards having a successful, fulfilling and rewarding service year.

“One sure way of achieving a hitch-free orientation course is by obeying camp rules and regulations religiously,” Mohammed said.
