Dr. Ali Bakari- National Coordinator Grand Coalition For Buhari/Osinbajo 2019, Congratulates Borno Gov. elect & N/State house assembly Members over their Victories
Follow up to the successful conduct of the Just concluded Gubernatorial and State Assembly Elections across the country by INEC. I wish to extend my profound congratulatory message to Borno State Governor Elect Professor Baba Gana Umara Zulum on his well deserved landslide victory in the Gubernatorial Elections held on 9/03/2019.
Zulum’s election as the next Governor of Borno State is a testimony to his acceptability by Good people of the state.
I also wish to extend my hearty congratulations to H.E. Governor Kashim Shettima, the Executive Governor of Borno state on clinching the Borno Central senatorial zone, Senator Abubakar Kyari (Borno North), Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume (Borno South), all the House of Representatives members as well as the State Assembly candidates that emerged victorious in their various constituencies in the State.
Against this backdrop, I urge the Governor Elect to be the Governor of all Borno citizens, to continue to do his good work that made him stood out against his colleagues during his days as a commissioner in the Ministry of Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Resettlement (RRR) all the good people of Borno state to come out enmass and vote for Professor Baba Gana Umara Zulum, MNI as the next Governor of the state.
Without any iota of doubt, the citizens of Borno State believe that his dedication to duty, transparency, hard work and humbleness, will translate to good governance in the state and continue from where his predecessor stops.
I am also urging H.E. the Governor Elect of Borno State, to constitute a formidable state executive council based on credentials and individual’s performance when he assumes duty come 29 May, 2019 in taking Borno State to the desired level.
Additionally, I wish to felicitate with Prof. Zulum for having made history by becoming the first Professor and a NIPSS alumnus to be elected as a Governor in Northern Nigeria.
With this quality and his vast experience as an astute Academic and administrator, we the great people of Borno State are sure of reaping democratic dividends and development under his able leadership.
Finally, I am appealing to all Borno citizens to continue to pray hard for our newly elected Governor for guidance and protection from the Almighty God.
It is our responsibility to support him in taking us to the dream land and getting us out of the quagmire.
