BUK Mass Comm Dept. Produces 5 PhDs
Haruna Isma’il, PhD the head of department confirmed, the Periscope Global will reveal that the Department of Mass Communication of Bayero University, Kano Nigeria has produced five PhD holders.
Three of the PhD candidates were supervised by Prof. Abdallah Uba Adamu who is a dual Professor of Sicence Education and Media Studies and the Vice Chancellor National Open University of Nigeria NOUN.
The candidates supervised by Prof. Abdullahi are: Ashiru Tukur Inuwa spelialised in Film Studies, Muhammad Ibrahim Danja and Maude Rabi’u Gwadabe both specialised in Political Communication.
Prof. Umaru A. Pate the Dean, School of Postgraduate Studies, Bayero University, Kano, and also a staff of the Department and Professor Balarabe Maikaba also a member of staff in the department supervised one candidate each.
Prof. Pate supervised Amina Abana who specialised in Media & Conflict Studies, while Prof. Maikaba supervised Umaru Jibrilu Gwandu who specialised in political communication.
