Eid-el-Fitr: Provost tasks Nigerians on prayers, security peace, unity, property

The Provost, Federal College of Education, Yola, Professor Abdul-Mumin Sa’ad has urged Nigerians to continue to pray for security, peace and prosperity of the nation.

The Provost made the call in an Eid-al- Fitr goodwill message to the general public, issued Tuesday by the College Senior Information Officer, Bashiru Abdullahi, in Yola.

Professor Abdul-Mumin Sa’ad said: “It is our hope and prayers that the lessons and virtues learnt from the perseverance, sacrifices and submission in deviation during the month of Ramadhan will be sustained beyond the period and will be translated to a more united, peaceful and advanced nation”.

The Provost further tasked Nigerians on the need for a peaceful coexistence and sustained prayers for the new administration in Adamawa state and the country for God’s guidance and abundance with a view to benefiting from the dividends of democracy.

Professor Sa’ad, on behalf of the college community, congratulated the Governor of Adamawa state, HE. Umaru Ahmadu Fintiri, members of the State House of Assembly, the Lamido Adamawa, Alhaji Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Musdafa (PhD) and the good people of Adamawa state on the successful completion of Ramadhan Fasting and the occasion of Eid-El-Fitri celebration.

“I congratulate all Muslim faithful of Adamawa State and Nigeria as a whole. It is my prayer that our act of worship and supplications will be accepted in God’s name. I wish you happy Eid-Al Fitr Celebration,” Sa’ad said.
