Where’ll the CLS be transferred to? – Concerned citizens

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state said the diploma certificate awarding College for Legal Studies Yola would soon be converted to the faculty of law of the Adamawa State University, ADSU Mubi.

Fintiri made this known Wednesday, while presiding over the fifth session of ministerial briefing by the Permanent Secretaries in the state, held at the Council Chamber of the Government House in Yola.

Fintiri revealed that his administration would revitalise the institutions of higher learning in the state to become more attractive so as to avoid losing the state’s trained academic staff for other institutions.

The question asked by the concerned citizens was: what would happen to the diploma programmes run by the college for legal studies Yola?

“Why should the government convert CLS, the whole diploma awarding institution into a mere faculty?

“The states with the universities that offer law studies like, Borno, Kano and others, still have their own colleges for legal studies running remedial and awarding diploma certificates.

“Fintiri should simply continue from the Nyako initiative; building and funding faculty of law with the Adamawa State University cited in Mubi,” Concerned citizens commented
