Monarchy in Maiha: Perm Sec meets Idi group, insubordinates executive order

Days after the directive given by HE Rt Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri to honour the court order by approving Barr Mahmud Abubakar Suleiman the heir to, as the legitimate District Head of Jalingo-Maiha District, the approval is to this day, yet to be served to the deserved.

The Periscope integrity reporter in Mubi, has just reported that the communication of the executive order to the effect of legitimising Barr. Mahmud Abubakar Suleiman to the headship of Jalingo-Maiha District from the ministry of local government and chieftaincy affairs was yet to reach the Mubi Emirate Council for a forward action.

Investigation by our reporter in Yola revealed that even though the ministry of justice, as was requested, has given the interpretation of the court order necessary attention and forwarded same to the permanent secretary chieftaincy affairs in the ministry of local government and chieftaincy affairs for necessary action, the communication was ignored.

Some analysands have articulated three reasons as possibility to the seeming insubordination on the side of the permanent secretary.

Owing to the inordinate ambition, the impostor Idi’s group, was said to have met the permanent secretary in her office, telling her that the has, against the court order and executive directive, filed a stay of execution before the law. The group, to this projection, could have lobbied for the compliance to the insubordination

The permanent secretary could be contemplating for “brown envelope” from Jalingo-Maiha District as “libation” to facilitating honouring the “Fintiri directive,” forgetting that Adamawa has entered a new era of integrity, defining the fresh air, deafening, demeaning and defeating complecency to conspiracy and tendency to corruption.

The permanent secretary could be “taking her time” ignoring governor Fintiri’s because, “she is yet to keep to terms with reality that Fintiri is now His Excellency the chief executive”.

The citizens of Jalingo-Maiha District, having heard that the impostor Idi with his group, visited the the permanent secretary chieftaincy affairs to change the narrative from the executive order to delay or frustrate execution of order, were said to be organising a mega group to the permanent secretary’s office to demand whether or not she has a time to delay within working hours before honouring the executive directive.

“Insubordination is indeed a grievous offence in civil service, the permanent secretary ought to be schooled to know,” a retired permanent secretary pointed out.
