The wealthy and the mighty in the north should take example; getting closer to people even after winning or losing elections – Keinyluv Kingston in the World’s Kingdom of Words
When you say “NEPU” to this day, Aminu Kano is hailed and immortalised in Kano. There can be a serving governor in, however, Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has with his Kwankwasiyya conquered the political Kano and like Aminu Kano, will remain not to be forgotten.
Governor Ganduje’s alleged fascism against the monarchy in Kano has degraded his dignity and integrity more especially, as he battled to deny receiving kickbacks from contractors with the video clips that went viral, which could have had the cause to cost his second term bid but for the sake of the alleged electoral multiple manipulations said to have saved him from a humiliating defeat.
Kwankwaso is not bothered that PDP, his party has lost to APC in Kano in the presidential and gubernatorial elections, better than the serving governor, he is said keenly and kindly concerned about the progress and development of Kano.
Having taken cognisance of the fact that ignorance compounds everything, hence retards progress and development, Kwankwaso has initiated a programme to get the people enlightened and sponsor Kano students to acquire advanced knowledge in different specialties abroad, irrespective of family background, provided that one is an indigene of Kano having a first class first degree.
Earlier, Kwankwaso was said to have sold his properties to sponsor 400 Kano students for studies abroad.
This time again, Using his established initiative called the KWANKWASIYYA DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION, Kwankwaso has on Saturday, organised a FUND RAISING to sponsor 370 first class Kano students for postgraduate studies abroad.
