The North East Online Network NEON, commended Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri the Governor of Adamawa State, Northeast Nigeria for taking a popular stand to be tough on rapists.
NEON in a press statement issued by its interim chairman Dr.Adamu Muhammad Dodo Saturday, after its general meeting in Yola, also commended Hon. Abdullahi Umar Yapak, the lawmaker representing Verre Constituency at the Adamawa State House of Assembly over his commitment to propose a law that would ensure that rapists are severely punished, noting that the extant laws are lenient on rapists
