Monarchy in Maiha: Appeal Court adjourns case to October

The Periscope reporter

More evidences were presented to justify before the jurists why the case before the appeal court should be scawshed and the high court ruling upheld.

Wakili Usman Shehu Idi the Bindow appointed, has been unpopular in Jalingo-Maiha and by any ranking other than marrying one of the princess once, he has no linkage whatsoever to have warranted any slighted legitimacy to the district headship of Jalingo-Maiha District, Maiha local government, Adamawa State, Northeast Nigeria.

“If he hasn’t got any link to the district headship of Jalingo-Maiha, why was he allowed into the royal contest,” Teddy a critical thinker would ask.

“It is a good question that calls for another narration, the storyline of which should be traced from the Mubi Emirate Council especially, when some of the impostor’s sponsored supporters insinuate that Idi has spent fortune and is still spending to drive away the legitimate heirs to the throne,” A man of wisdom would in Jalingo-Maiha say.

The impostor’s sponsored supporters, have for the first time, been “transported to Yola to witness the hearing they were being misinformed would be the ruling. The mission as was alleged, was to protest against any unfavourable judgement to their paymaster the impostor.

Some of the sponsored supporters would however have to explain why they went violent, opting for anarchy in a worshipping place the impostor or his parents have not contributed in building and/or managing.

The impostor, the Periscope investigation can reveal, was stripped of his arrogance in challenging the constituted authority.

The Adamawa state governor, not Bindow, directed that court order should he honoured; to have the appointment of Barr Mahmud Abubakar Suleiman as the legitimate District Head of Jalingo-Maiha and to have Idi the impostor restrained from parading himself as a district head.

However, by a twist of court judgement, the governor’s directive was alleged to be craftily misinterpreted, influenced by those who claimed having authority on the legitimacy of the monarchy in Maiha.

The approval of Barr Mahmud’s appointment would have to be suspended pending appeal court ruling, even when it was a declarative judgement without any air about stay of execution.

The impostor continued with the arrogance; parading himself as district head, attending functions unhindered for being supported by the inefficiency of the permanent secretary with the chieftaincy affairs, Adamawa State.

Mary Kazai sent a letter to the Mubi Emirate Council through the district head of Jalingo-Maiha, directing the Emir of Mubi to communicate to the impostor to stop parading himself as district head in obedience to court order and the governor’s directive.

The Mubi Emirate Council could however not effect the communication as the Council was not served with the letter that would have to pass through the district head of Jalingo-Maiha, an insider revealed to the Periscope.

Who was the district head of Jalingo-Maiha to have letter sent through to the Mubi Emirate Council? It is the question that should have been asked before now. However, by who?

So the conspiracy of the impostor kept on untill petition letters were genuinely served to the commissioner of Police by Barr Mahmud Abubakar Suleiman the heir to Ubandoma and the stakeholders of Mayo-Nguli.

But for the police intervention and other security agency, the Kazai-a-za-tion of communication has nearly turned Jalingo-Maiha into anarchy in worshipping place on Friday.

Last Friday was celebrated peacefully in devotion because the impostor was sent out of Jalingo-Maiha. His sponsored supporters were humiliated and embarrassed that their paymaster was not given a vehicle meant for district heads by the chairman Maiha local government area.

“It is indeed another Friday, the impostor is not expected in the peaceful District of Maiha. Whether or not he’s on bail the stakeholders in Jalingo-Maiha do not wish him well.

“Out of arrogance and overambition, Idi invited armed thugs into the mosque with filthy shoes to disrupt worshippers rather than worship and he wants to be a district head? Bindow should rather decide a chiefdom for the impostor. Maiha isn’t for those who disrespect the sanctity of the mosque and the legitimacy and aristocric integrity of our monarchy against anarchy,” a community elder said.

“Now that evidences are presented before the court of appeal sitting in Yola on Tuesday, October isn’t a long way to go for those who have patience,” A man of wisdom said.
