ADAMAWA: Fintiri Presents N183b As 2020 Budget Of Rebirth To ADHA

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintri has on Tuesday, presented the annual budget to the Adamawa State House of Assembly in Yola.

The proposed budget estimate amounting to the sum of N183.360,619,485 for the year 2020 tagged “Budget of Rebirth” was submitted to the state assembly a while ago.

Earlier on Monday, the 2020 budget was presented during the anaugural state executive council meeting, which was precised over by Governor Fintiri.

The newly sworn in Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Dr. Umar Garba, revealed that the 2020 budget presented to the council on Monday, by the Ministry of Finance and Budget was convincingly realistic. The council members are agreed that it would give the citizens a new lease of life.

The newly sworn in Commissioner of Finance and Budget Doctor Ishaya John Dabari, said the council had reviewed the 2019 budget in terms of revenue and expenditure of each ministry and assessed their levels of performances.

Dabari further clarified that to make the 2020 budget more realistic, the council had to review downward with a view ti reflecting the socio-economic and financial realities, for the government to be able to make impact on the lives of the citizens.

The newly sworn in Commissioner of Education and Human Development Mrs Wibina Jackson disclosed that education was not in anyway jettisoned in the 2020 budget as it has a higher percentage, indicative of the Fintiri led government’s commitment to an improved education system in the state.
