FMC Yola Awards Best Ward Of The Month

Federal Medical Centre FMC Yola, held its monthly inspection and assessment award ceremony for the month of November, 2019.

The event took place Thursday at the Centre’s premises, behind the office of the Medical Director.

In his welcome address, the chairman of the inspection and award committee Dr Sajo Njidda said the award presentation has been a monthly event organised by the Management of the health facility, aimed at productivity, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness in healthcare delivery services “as it relates to cleanliness and patient care.”

Dr. Sajo has thanked the Prof Auwal Muhammad led management team for the maximum cooperation and unrelenting support, commended the assessment committee members for their patients and commitments to assigned responsibility objectively and the participating wards as winners for the impressive exercise that kept on improving the cleanliness of the hospital and the patient-care.

The award ceremony was chaired by the director of finance Dr. Mahmud Maunde Lamorde representing the top Management of the Centre.

Lamorde, having commended the assessment committee, congratulated the ward award recipients, assured the management’s unrelenting support towards the success of the exercise

Alh. Aliyu Mohammed Nayejo the Centre’s Director of Administration while announcing the results, revealed that fourth position was added.

Nayejo announced the results as follows:

The Emergency Paediatric unit (EPU) came fourth with a score of 97.3%,
Third position went to Paediatric Medical ward with a score of 97.82%,
Paediatric surgical ward scored 98.17% for second position
The first position was clenched by female medical ward with a score of 98.22%.
