Armed gunmen suspected to be kidnappers, in a Rambo movie style, have a while ago, stormed Daware village, Fufore local government area of Adamawa state, Northeast Nigeria.

The gunmen said to be five in number, were alleged to be youth without attitude who could be said to have known every house and the inhabitants in the village.

There were sporadic gunshots announcing their entry for a dreaded welcome. They kept calling people’s names telling them that they should calm down as they were not after them.

They identified some specific houses for their mischievous mission. Having missed their targets, the family members of the businessmen they could not meet in their various houses would not be spared.

“Do you want to stay alive, simply and silently come with us,” the gunmen said.

“There were women and children among those kidnapped,” a voice representing Daware village revealed to the Periscope reporter.

Though a village in Fufore, Daware is closer to Girei local government area, where kidnappings for ransom are more pronounced recently.

The Periscope could not get to have police confirmation of the incident as the call put to the PPRO, DSP Suleiman Yahya Nguroje was not going through.
