The lawmaker representing Michika and Madagali Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon Zakariya Dauda Nyampa has facilitated the immediate construction of industrial borehole to Adamawa neglected community.
Lukuni a village in Michika Local Government has gotten the borehole boost after suffering from perrenial Water supply for decades, which resulted in them having have to be sharing the only water from stream, in the community, with domestic animals.
Hon Dauda told our correspondent that his staunched decision to render effective and efficient representation with the spirit of humanity, was one of the core mandates he nurtured for the constituency he shouldered the task to represent, adequately too.
According to him, the water intervention was one of his personal goodwill as a positive response to the call from the community within the constituency he was duly, constitutionally mandated for representational duty.
“You will agree with me that water is something that has no enemy. It’s a friend to all creatures and without which no living being will likely be living.
“I was touched; only one without of a compassion would remain unmoved, when I discovered that this community has never been privileged to have portable water. The only share stream water with stray domestics and wild animals. I said this has to stop. And no matter what, they must at least have access to good Water.
“I’m certainly working on many plans for good water system in my constituency. Thank God! We have a Governor that has a listening ear. Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri is doing well.
“I’ll also try my best to liase with relevant committees at the National Assembly to bring in massive support to my constituency in many aspects,” Dauda said.
Tizhe Vandi, one of the community leaders commended the efforts of the lawmaker as worthy, a timely not to be forgotten intervention.
Vandi described Dauda a champion who salvage the community from the Goliath like syndrome added to the various diseases resulting from untreated water they have no option in using.
