The Periscope reporter

The Emir of Mubi, HRH Alh. Abubakar Isa Ahmadu Saturday, enjoined Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state, to fear God in his leadership and to be fair to all people.

The Emir said this when the Governor accompanied by the SSG with other top government officials paid him a condolence visit in Mubi, northern senatorial district of Adamawa state, north Nigeria, over the death of his son, Prince Umar.

According to the family source, the 28 years old Prince Umar Isah Ahmadu died in Abuja after a brief illness, on Wednesday, February, 2020.

Fintiri described the death of the Prince as a great loss not only to the family, Mubi Emirate and Adamawa state but Nigeria as a whole.

“Your Royal Highness, our father and leader, we’re here to register our condolence and to be condoled. We’re being tried by the death of one of us. May Allah forgive his weaknesses and reward his goodness. May he eternally rest in perfect peace.

It is indeed a collectively painful loss. We all missed him but death is inevitable. May we have fortitude to bear the irreparable loss,” Fintiri prayed.

Responding, the Emir of Mubi thanked Governor Fintiri for participating in the funeral prayer and burial of the vicenarian prince and for the condolence visit.

“I shall first of all, on my behalf, the Emirate Council and the entire people of Mubi, begin by appreciating what the governor has done right from Abuja where be participated in the funeral prayer and burial of the deceased.

“Secondly, I’m grateful to the governor for taking his time to come here from Yola, purposely to register his condolence. May Allah reward him abundantly.

“The informed ones are aware of three things that only God has the knowledge thereof; when to die, where to die and the cause of death.

“Human beings must reflect on these three things. However, nowadays, people don’t think about death much more than about wealth; the worldly pursuits.

“Whenever you are shouldered with whatever the leadership responsibility, you should administer justice and be truthful to be able to have successful tenure.

“A leader is a heap of debris, it is said, subjected to criticisms, whether or not they are constructive; patience’ remains the watchword.

“It is already written, destined – to be descriptive – that he (Ahmadu UmaruJibrilla Fintiri) should be our governor, whether or not people like it, a fulfilment of his lifecycle as divinely designed; what he will enjoy, gain and loose. His joy and sorrow in this world are already written. People are simply ignoring this knowledge either consciously or unconsciously.

“At this juncture, my call therefore, is for the entire people of Adamawa to appreciate the beauty in our diversity, to collectively follow the path of unity by joining hands and might to give our God’s given governor maximum cooperation to be able to accomplish the promises he has made.

“The governor isn’t an Angel to be infallible. However, he’s a man of peace, patience and truth to trust. Let’s bury the hatchet, push away grudges and google for and unity in diversity, to be able to attain peace, progress and development.

“Whatever wrong it is observed, it is obvious that when forwarded to him, the governor can make amends; as a grade II teacher; not the indomie generation type, I can tell a good, honest and promising person at a glance.

“We have nothing to say to him other than to remain grateful. We should have confidence in him and help him with concrete advice to be able to achieve progress and development in Adamawa state,”

“Finally your Excellency, We pray that may God reward you, guard and guide you as you pilot the affairs of the state,” the Emir of Mubi said.
