His Highness the Deposed Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II Friday, regained freedom, following a court judgment that his incarceration by means of house arrest in Awe, Nassarawa State, after having been dethroned by the Ganduje led government of Kano, was unlawfully unacceptable.

The court granted that the deposed Emir Sanusi II has the right to live freely anywhere of his choice with the exception of Kano.

BBC Hausa reported that the Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai was in Awe to move with Sanusi II to Abuja before proceeding to Lagos, where he has earlier decided to relocate.

The Awe community has however requested Sanusi II to lead the Jumu’at prayer before living. It was the request Imam Sanusi would not turn down; the congregation was indeed amazing, even if to catch glimpse of their guests they were not to have access to.

The people of Awe were, before the Abuja court Judgment, prevented from going to meet Sanusi II in the house he was kept a prisoner.

In his Friday Qutba, Sanusi has called on the Ummah to keep faith with fate being grateful to Allah SWT in whatever condition one finds himself.

Believing in the destiny, strengthens one’s faith and cools the heart. Nothing happens to humankind except by the will of Allah SWT, Sanusi’s qutba in Awe Central Mosque, would remind the Awe community as much as it would resonate in Kano and beyond

The Awes are not to forget their experience this week. “Even though, there hasn’t been electricity for reason we couldn’t conjure up, it is a blessing having this great personality in our town. May Allah SWT continue to bless him, guide and guard him, an elder in Awe would tell the Periscope reporter covering Nassarawa State

Yunusa Abubakar a staff with the Federal Polytechnic Nassarawa would articulate that, knowing who Sanusi II has been in terms of generosity, Awe will always be remembered.
