CRIME: Police Arrests Kidnapper Gangs, recovers guns, cartridges

In an effort to rescue the kidnapped NULGE chairman, the Commissioner of police Audu A Madaki had deployed operatives to go after the kidnappers and ensure victim is rescued unharmed with culprits captured.

Pursuant to that the command Saturday, paraded five kidnapper gangs apprehended. The criminals gave their names as Sunday Innocent33, Buba Kaijo 37, Sanusi Shehu 20, Tercher Buwa 44, and one other.

In a press release signed by the Police Public Relations Officer DSP Sulaiman Yahya Nguroje, the suspected were apprehended along Kojoli, Jada local government area southern senatorial district of Adamawa state, northeast Nigeria.

“The suspects confessed to being among those terrorising Mayo-Belwa, Jada, Ganye and Toungo axis.

“The command equally recovered two locally fabricated single barrel guns, 20 cartridges, fake military uniforms amulets and other charms.

“The suspects are now assisting the police with useful information that will lead to the rescue of the kidnapped NULGE chairman and others.

“The CP has equally charged Area commnders across the state to ensure adequate supervision of personnel under their watch and ensure adequate security of lives and properties.

“Meanwhile, the CP has expressed profound gratitude to the people of Adamawa for their resilience and urged them to support and cooperate with the police at all times.

The CP assured them of his commitment to protecting lives and properties.
