ADAMAWA COVID-19: Meet Mai’anguwa Inji Uku The Most Compliant Ward Head

The Periscope reporter

Alh. Aliyu Abdulrahman is the ward head of makama ‘A’, Inji Uko, Damare Ward, Yola South local government area, central senatorial district of Adamawa state, northeast Nigeria.

The Periscope Lifestyle figured him out as the most compliant traditional leader – ward head – to the restrictions order meant to control COVID-19 global pandemic in Adamawa state.

Abdulrahman, was said to be among the first ward heads to call the attention of the ummah; to comply with the lockdown/restrictions order.

Abdulrahman does not only stop in conveying the message with words, he serves as an example by restricting himself only to his house complying with stay the at home order.

In tune with the social distancing, Abdulrahman calls to prayers only in his house and observes obligatory prayers in congregation only with his family members, equally respecting spacing, at the moment worshipping places were directed to be lockdown in Adamawa state.

If he must go out, Abdulrahman keeps a recommended distance with the contacts and he does not shake hands. He equally avoids crowded places.

He is not bothered about the tongue wagging in the community; where he is accused, his conduct is certainly more than excused. It has in fact endeared the informed minds to enlighten the community on how worthy it is to join Abdulrahman in deed.

Abdulnasir Aliyu is one of the informed minds in the community; being a health worker, he finds it not only necessary to commend the activities of the octogenarian ward head, to encourage it in the face of COVID-19 global threatening pandemic, but to invite the attention of the Periscope Lifestyle to certify.

While the Periscope commends Abdulnasir, she recommends award of excellent to Abdulrahman for being compliant to COVID-19 control measures.
