COVID-19: Adamawa De-isolates Contacts To First Index Case

Umar Dan-Kano

The Adamawa state COVID-19 Surveillance team led by Dr. Jerry P. of World Head Organisation WHO Tuesday, de-isolated all the contact suspects to the first index case in the state.

Dr. Jerry and his team addressed all contacts advising that everyone should stick to the routine safeguarding tips given by health experts especially maintaining social distancing.

He encouraged the public to see this pandemic as an enemy to humanity noting that stigmatisation of victims is uncalled for and condemnable.

He announced that the first index case was responding to treatment as expected and would soon be discharged from isolation centre.

“I am happy to announce to you that your friend, colleague and neighbour, who happens to be our first index case will soon reunite with you.

“We have accorded him second sample test, which have been sent to Abuja (NCDC Lab.) expecting the outcome soon.

“The moment we see the result and turns out negative, we will discharge him very soon and please welcome him passionately because it can happen to anyone of us,”Jerry assured.

Questions and comments were entertained by the team where all issues raised were addressed squarely.
