It seemed like Idi Usman Shehu was invited to the international peace and security seeming, to sum it up summit, to be indicted and humiliated in Maiha, the headquarters of Maiha local government of Adamawa state, Nigeria.

Eleven district heads were genuinely invited to the international peace and security initiative meeting. Seven from the republic of Cameroon that share border with Maiha LGA and four from the five districts in Maiha.

However, the secretary of Maiha LGA with one other, was said to have smuggled Idi the Impostor to participate in the meeting as standing for Jalingo-Maiha district, which he was by the rule of law restrained from.

Prior to the meeting, the Periscope has alerted the Maiha LG Chairman of the unhealthy rather inimical to peace and security development, advising that he should not let retrogressive elements dent his personality and responsibility he should be held accountable as a leader.

Idi the impostor-Usman deceived-Shehu, was eventually seen exchanging pleasantries with some invited personalities at the venue of the meeting yesterday and that which the Periscope and other online media under NEON and beyond, published and/or disseminated.

It was not clear, whether or not the impostor was ever recognised during the close door meeting.

The popular eavesdropper report, has it that there was no provision, in the sitting arrangement, for the district head of Jalingo-Maiha that Idi claimed to represent, unless otherwise physical distancing would have to play against the NCDC.

That is however besides the point. What is more of a mood of the moment, captured by the Periscope among other media reporting monarchy in Maiha, was the lamentations of the monarchs from Cameroon, who expected a royal reception at the palace of the district head of Jalingo-Maiha close to the Central Mosque.

From the meeting at the local government secretariat, the invited guests were moved straight to the residence of Hon. Tijjani Maksha for reception.

Maksha has served in various capacities rather politically, as LG chairman, as state assembly member, as Hon. Commissioner during Nyako led government, as Adviser to former governor Bindow but withdrew his service having realised that his constructive advice were not heeded. Maksha is currently one of the advisers to governor Fintiri, having lost the state assembly membership he contested under ADC.

After the reception hosted by Hon. Tijjani Maksha, one of the district heads from the republic of Cameroon lamented that it was apparent that Jalingo-Maiha has no district head but an unimportant impostor who should be repositioned to respond to the law for what they learned was a contempt of court and executive orders.

“We were not taken to the district head palace close to the  Central mosque for a reception. The Palace we are told is closed,” the district head lamented, adding that if there was a genuine district head, he would have been the one to guide the process.

Does Idi Usman Shehu have a palace other than his house that is being described by the occasion as less important than that of just one of the subjects in Jalingo-Maiha?

“The district heads, as part of the itinerary, would have had a reception at Idi’s, if he isn’t an impostor.

“Hon. Tijjani Maksha’s residence is more of a palace for a reception than Idi’s the impostor,” an observer analysed.

Idi the impostor was given the Corona like treatment of the uninvited at the seeming royal reception hosted by Maksha in his residence.

There was the provision, in the sitting arrangement, for only 4 of the five district heads in Maiha LG. The 5th being Jalingo-Maiha has no district head as Prince Mahmud, the court approved district head is yet to have his appointment signed by Adamawa governor.

Idi Usman Shehu quickly worked out of the reception residence having read the uninvited signal, the Periscope considered as “the Maksha treatment of a seeming shameless impostor”.

Does Dr. Idi the Hon Chairman invite Idi chiefly to accord him undue honour and privilege of a district head, as has been the rumour; the act he knows is against the law?” The aggrieved elders of Jalingo-Maiha would ask.

Collaborating, the group of youth would ask whether or not “Idi the LG chairman is an accomplice to the conspiracy breeding anarchy meant to consume the Monarchy in Jalingo-Maiha”.

The two questions would have as an expostulation, the following to ponder on, pounding to powder, powered by the critical thinking, not criminal minded:

Why shouldn’t Idi the LG chairman fully involve Idi the impostor in the entire arrangements of the international peace and security meeting, even when Jalingo-Maiha is the host district?

Why should Hon Tijjani Maksha, not Idi the impostor host the royal reception and why couldn’t Idi the LG chairman rescue the impostor, the humiliation of the uninvited?

Where was the LG secretary with one other, who was said to be behind the rather unlawful invitation of the impostor to the international meeting on inter border peace and security?
