Institute News: IBDFM Adjusts Her Year 2020 Calendar Of Activities

The Governing Council of the Institute of Business Diplomacy and Financial Management (IBDFM) has presented the Institute’s adjusted programme calendar of the year 2020.

In a statement issued by Secretary and Registrar of the Institute, Mr. Sukana Danjuma Tusha, “the Board of Directors and Governing Council of the Institute of Business
Diplomacy and Financial Management (IBDFM) at its 19th meeting held today, Friday, August 21, 2020, decided to adjust the Calendar of the Institute’s Professional Development Programmes, Investiture of Fellowship and
Induction Ceremony for the year 2020 earlier released on January 1, 2020 in line with the constitution and bye-laws of the Institute.

“The adjustment became necessary in view of the current reality brought about by the
Coronavirus Pandemic which brought the whole world to her knees,” the statement read in part..

The the Institute has presented the adjusted calendar as follows:

1. 3rd October, 2020 Yola, Adamawa State

2. 10th October, 2020 Gombe, Gombe State

3. 31st October, 2020 F. C. T., Abuja

4. 7th November, 2020 Magodo, Lagos

5. 14th November, 2020 Maiduguri, Borno State

6. 28th November, 2020 Calabar, Cross River State

7. 5th December, 2020 Bauchi, Bauchi State

8. 12th December, 2020 F. C. T., Abuja.

The Council resolved that the Abuja and Gombe Programmes would both be two
programmes combined in one as it would feature the Investiture of Fellowship and Induction Ceremonies of those who were earlier Certified on July 25 and August 8 respectively in the two states (FCT & Gombe) and the Mandatory Continuing Professional Development (for old members), Investiture of
Fellowship and Induction Ceremonies of new members on the date of the
programmes.

“The themes and resource persons for each of the programmes will be communicated soon.

“The meeting also approved the use of a quality professional regalia (gowns) for all FELLOWS of the Institute both old and new.

“The Quality Professional Fellowship Gown with its intricate and unique design will be given to every FELLOW at the rate of Twenty Thousand Naira (N 20,000) only.

“The amount has been incorporated in the Fellowship/Investiture fees to be paid by prospective/new Fellows across the country’ beginning with the Yola programme slated for 3rd October, 2020, while all existing Fellows of the Institute are advised to pay the said amount (N 20,000) directly into the Institute First Bank Account: 2032406601 and immediately send their names and evidence of payments to the Institute’s email addresses:

“The decision on the unique and colourful Fellowship Regalia/Gown was taken to ensure that everyone who receives the highest and prestigious award of FELLOW of the Institute has a great feeling that his/her hard work has been paid off with a majestic ceremony and celebration.

“Therefore, every FELLOW of the Institute will be required to come along with and put on this coveted Fellowship Gown as a mark of honour, excellence, achievement and professionalism,” the statement revealed.

The statement added that the Board of Directors and Governing Council of the Institute have called for the continued cooperation and support of all Esteemed Professional Members of the Institute: Fellows, Senior, Full, Associate and Graduate Members as well as State Coordinators of the Institute across the Country in her quest to reposition the Institute as a world class Professional Body.
