Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state has approved the appointment of Sheikh Ibrahim Abubakar Daware as Chairman, Adamawa State Muslim Pilgrim Board.
The press release Monday, signed by the press secretary to the governor, Mr Humwashi Wonosikou, revealed that the foremost Islamic Cleric and Scholar has served in various capacities as State Chairman Fityanul Islam of Nigeria and currently National Chairman Zawiatu Darikatu Tijjaniyya Foundation of Nigeria.
“Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, while congratulating him over the appointment, charged him to work passionately towards taking the Board to a place of envy to other states in tandem with the Fresh Air policy thrust.
“The appointment is with immediate effect,” the press release read in part.
