When it comes to setting record, Covid-19 is not a hindrance in healthcare facility like Federal Medical Centre, FMC Abuja, having blessed with a visionary Medical Director who is considered to be achiever personified.
It had been one success story to the other, taking healthcare delivery service to the next level in FMC Jabi, Abuja with the appointment of Prof. Saad Ahmed as the Medical Director
One of such recent achievements is the adequate preparation and equipping of Physiotherapy department with hi-tech facility and human capacity to render effective and efficient service delivery for which the accreditation team from the Medical Rehabilitation Therapist Registration Board of Nigeria (MRTRBN) led by Dr. Mrs. Olufunke Akanle, the Registrar/CEO found worthy of commendation.
It was a three-day intensive accreditation exercise. It started on Monday, September 28 and concluded today, Wednesday, September 30, 2020, to metaphorically have the success celebrated on October 1st; Nigeria’s Independence Day.
The MRTRBN accreditation team is impressed with the facility, human capacity and service delivery in the physiotherapy department of FMC Abuja, having the capability to run internship training.
Commending the accreditation team, the MD FMC Abuja, Prof. Saad Ahmed with his management team has noted the observations and recommendations made, assuring that they would be looked into.
Prof. Saad’s top-notch concern is in the area of capacity development, making reason for his working hard to upgrade the physiotherapy department to the level that it is set to start internship training for physiotherapists in the hospital.
While the hospital expects positive outcome from MRTRBN, a big congratulation is already extended to the physiotherapy department and the entire staff and management of FMC Abuja.
