ADAMAWA: Fintiri Commissions ICT Centre

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state Monday, commissioned Information and Communications Cechnology ICT Centre, cited at the State Scholarship Trust Fund, Yola.

The governor, visibly happy with the development, stressed that his administration would do everything necessary to be able to fine-tune the narrative in the education sector in the state.

Fintiri commended MEWAR university India for not only granting scholarship to sixty students from Adamawa State to study engineering but also for going a step further to provide the computers and facilities required for a full – fledged ICT centre, so that the students could attend virtual classes in India due to COVID-19 pandemic.

The Governor also thanked the Scholarship Trust Fund for working to ensure that Adamawa students who were yet to resume classes in India due to the pandemic were engaged with the institution out of the formal class setting.

He urged the students to take the advantage of the opportunity availed to them to prove themselves worthy of their selection.

He also urged each of them to take the advantage of this opportunity as government moved to digitalise its activities as citizens can not afford to be left behind in the global push for E – Governance and digital learning.

Responding, the Executive Director Scholarship Trust Fund, Malam Abba Zumo commended the governor for his giant strides in the education sector.

Parents and beneficiary students have jointly commended Adamawa state government for the rear opportunity, assuring that they would not let the state down.
