Monarchy In Mourning In Maiha:The Periscope, Condoles the Ubandoma, joins popular lamented

By Nura Mohammed

The Periscope Global Publishers Ltd has joined in mourning the loss of the compassionate, peace loving and amiable Queen Aishah, popularly known as Hajja Loddo, the mother of the Emirate Council’s selected and the courts’ declared district head of Jalingo-Maiha, Barr Mahmud Abubakar Sulaiman, the Ubandoma Mubi

The septuagenarian has transited to great beyond yesterday in Yola, where she was receiving healthcare services and was buried based on Islamic rites.

The funeral prayer observed at the late Waziri Adamawa, Alhaji Baba lawal of blessed memory, in Yola ancient city has indeed attracted amazing congregation in spite of the short notice.

Worthy of mention are those who travelled from Gombe state and Maiha mainly to observe the funeral rites.

The Periscope also joined the lamentations in Jalingo-Maiha District that the Queen, who would always ask the aggrieved to be patient in waiting the decreed time, was not to see the result of her answered prayer.

The queen would not be among the closest witnesses to the coronation of her son, Barr. Mahmud as the district head, because the Adamawa state governor has not approved the appointment, 111 days after the Appeal Court determination, which upheld the High Court judgement delivered over two years ago.

The Periscope has earlier reported that “the Appeal Court judgement, that engaged the citizens in jubilation, which upheld the High Court orders, delivered on September 25, 2020, about two years later, was thought would bring an end to the undue executive delay in having the appointment of district head of Jalingo-Maiha approved.”

“Whatever it is and/or whoever could be that has or have instigated the delay in the approval of the appointment of Mahmud Abubakar as district head, is prayed against and shall In Sha Allah be humiliated by shame while the monarchy waxes stronger than ever,” the sage would serve this as consolation.

“The queen, our mother Hajja Loddo has indeed lived a fulfilled life, only Allah SWT knows why she has transited to great beyond before the coronation of our district head, whom the court order favoured 111 days ago.

“This has indeed left a hardly healed wound that neither political cosmetics nor any diplomatic-plastic surgery could correct.

“Hajja Loddo is indeed a symbol of justice, peace, love, loyalty to law and order and unity. Her death is a metaphor for mutual coexistence and family cohesion.

“Not only the direct heirs to the Ubandoma but the entire aristocracy with the subjects are seen united in mourning over the irreparable loss.

“May Allah SWT forgive her weaknesses and grant her Jannatul Firdaus.

“May Allah bless the family she has left behind and grant the living the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss,” Yunusa Abubakar prayed on behalf of the Periscope management.
