Supervisory Councillor Supports Education, Provides School Uniform To The Less Privileged Pupils

To educate a child, is to educate a nation and to have a future assured with leadership founded on of compassion, sympathy and empathy, credibility and transparency devoid of criminality, is to have children of the less privileged parents encouraged and supported in their pursuits of happiness in knowledge.

The above could have been the philosophy nurtured by a princes, the supervisory councillor, women affairs and special duties, Yola South local government, central senatorial district, Adamawa state, northeast Nigeria, who professes the faith, which practice begins with the calling to reading; impliedly, the search for knowledge, as ignorance compounds everything; a bane of every criminality.

Though a supervisory councillor, Hon Atika Aliyu Mustafa Friday, surprised many people with the distribution of over one thousand school uniforms to less privileged students in the community.

A politician remarked that it was indeed a great expectation, an experience that required strategic and political mentoring if the princes could volunteer herself as a mentor.

Hon Atika is the daughter of the late Lamido Adamawa, HRH Aliyu Musdafa of blessed monarchical memory.

Among the schools benefited by what can be considered as palliative on education, the “Atikation” of knowledge include, Sanda Modern Girls Primary School.

Among the invited guests that graced the “Atikate” free schools uniform distribution include, commissioner of education, Hon wulbina Jackson, ably represented by the permanent secretary, commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs, Hon Mohammed umar, chairman governing council Adamawa State University Auwal Bamanga Tukur, Hon. Adamu Baba Mustafa, vice chairman Yola south local government, Hon Elisha kefas.
