​Adamawa Police Apprehends 3 Kidnapper kingpins

Adamawa State police command has apprehended 3 of the 5 suspects responsible for kidnapping Ali Ahmadu and Alhaji Guruza of Antasa and Balhona villages in Gombi Local government Area, central senatorial district of Adamawa State, Northeast Nigeria.

The press release Sunday, issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Sulaiman Yahaya Nguroje revealed that the “crime was committed sometime in November, 2020.

“The Suspects, Likita Muhammed 22, a native of Zangra Village and Ibrahim Adamu 26 and Buba Muhammadu 20, both natives of Balhona were apprehended at their various hideouts in Gombi town following credible information and intense search by the Police and Pulaaku Vigilante group.

“Investigations so far revealed that the suspects are members of a notorious armed kidnapping/kidnapping group that are engaged in terrorising innocent citizens in the central zone of Adamawa and Kwaya kusa of Borno States.

“The Commissioner Police Aliyu Adamu Alhaji, has directed for further investigation into the case to be able to bring up more human and material evidences for proper prosecution.

“Meanwhile, as part of efforts at tackling criminal activities and other related offences the CP, working in concert to deepen intelligence and strengthen security in the State, directed that suspects should be arraigned in court on completion of investigations.
