The Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Land and Survey, Adamawa State, Northeast Nigeria, Hon. Ibrahim Mijinyawa Yayaji has described continuing professional development programmes as key to national development.
Hon. Yayaji who is a Fellow of the Institute of Business Diplomacy and Financial Management (IBDFM) made the assertion at the 35th Mandatory Continuing Professional Development (MCPD), Investiture of Fellowship and Induction Ceremony of the Institute held on April 10, 2021, at the Conference Hall of Mechanical Engineering Department, Modibbo Adama University, Yola, Adamawa State.
Human resources are seen as the most important assets of a nation and as knowledge changes and new tools, technologies and procedures are developed, ongoing or continuing education and training for professionals is a key investment strategy, he added.
Yayaji thanked the Governing Council of the Institute for bringing the programme to Adamawa State, which is aimed at improving, renewing and updating the knowledge, skills and ability of all professional members of the Institute, thereby making it a lot easier for members to attend.
Yayaji, who has other lineup schedules and has scaled the preference for the IBDFM MCPD, congratulated those who were inducted as members into the various professional membership cadres of the Institute: Fellow, Senior, Full, Associate and Graduate and concluded by pledging to support the Institute in her quest to provide high quality professional training services for national development.
