Monarchy In Maiha: Day 13 Qunut Against Executive Non Approval Of Appointment Of District Head

The Periscope reporter

It is over seven months with the appeal court determination that upheld the high court judgement passed over three years ago. Adamawa state governor has not approved the appointment of the district head to honour courts orders.

The anti courts judgements group argued that influential godfathers are on their side, operating from the shadows, court order remained but a waste piece, where they coined a similitude to the Bindow dishonour of the court orders.

“There was the court orders, but did governor Bindow honour the such? No! He ignored all and hell did not fall, not even a pebble,” they would remark.

Governor Fintiri was said to have challenged the undue executive delay in approving the appointment of the district head of Jalingo-Maiha by the past governor as injustice, during the inaugural State Executive Council meeting at the banquet hall of the government house, few days after the swearing-in.

Governor Fintiri was reported to have directed that court orders should be honoured to have the appointment of the court declared district head approved.

However, according to the concerned youths of Jalingo-Maiha, the conveners of the Qunut prayers, the governor was later advised by those the anti courts judgements considered as influential godfathers working on their behalf, from the shadows that the executive approval of the appointment should be suspended pending the determination of the Appeal Court.

“It was thought that governor Fintiri would approve the appointment immediately with the Appeal Court judgement, little we did know that unconscious bias, like liquor, would play the uncritical, uncalled for culture,” the concerned youths would lament.

Considering the injustice associated with the delay, the Hon. Chairman, Maiha local government, Dr. Idi Ali Amin, sued for peace and patience, with the assurance that the governor would do the needful anytime soon.

The Chairman courageously told the delegation of the aristocracy in Maiha that they should go and begin the preparation for the celebration of the coronation.

Peace is an uncompressed treasure, it should therefore be maintained at all cost, the chairman would take as a philosophy, which guided his initiative in organising international security meeting with border districts of Cameroon republic against insurgency, banditry and kidnappings among other criminalities.

There can be no peace without security. This has earned him the national award as the best local government chairman of the year with governor Zulum of Borno state as the best governor of the year.

The state government ought to have organised a befitting celebration for such an achievement as a moral and exec booster, ought to have allocated a project in Maiha local government in solidarity with the success.

Apparently the chairman is disappointed to the point of frustration that his assurances are translated to empty promises, mere political gimmick as Jalingo-Maiha district palace maintains in its vacant position.

The perishables there were provided in preparation for the coronation, in anticipation of the executive approval of the appointment of the district head, following the chairman’s words of assistance have since perished.

“We learned that the LG chairman has on several occasions, raised the issue and the need for the executive approval of the appointment of the courts declared district head of Jalingo-Maiha and that the governor’s response would always be that he would act on it soon.

“Apparently, from the shadows, there have been brewed conspiracy against the law and the legitimacy of the monarchy in Jalingo-Maiha.

“We have therefore embarked on Qunut prayers and sacrifices throughout the blessed month of Ramadhan; today enters day 13 with many groups joining and the felt abandoned monarchies supporting.

“The uncritical anti courts judgements, blinded by sentiment, would say that they have mortgaged state projects and development in Maiha local government, in place of disordering the monarchical order of Jalingo-Maiha district.

“Our response is that Allah SWT is the best of planners, to Him only is our trust, in peace with prayers our laughs shall come last any moment soon.
