Hama Bachama Dr Daniel Shaga Ismaila OON says no sacrifice is too much for the course of achieving peaceful coexistence among the different tribes and religions in his domain, the Numan federation and Adamawa state Northeast Nigeria as a whole
He opines that leaders at all levels must make deliberate efforts to foster unity and peace among their people by not just tasking them to live peacefully but by also actively involving them in peace drive process
This was part of the Monarch’s message during a session with journalists in Numan, venue of the second edition of Numan federation Volley ball unity cup organised by the King’s pet project “Volunteer for sustainable development” inc.
Five volleyball teams from the five local government areas of Demsa, Numan, Guyuk, Shelleng and Lamurde that made up the Numan federation are slugging it out among themselves to clinch trophies
Homun Shaga says that although it is a trophy driven competition, notwithstanding its apex aim is to bring together respective youths of the federation to socialize and make friends, tribes, religion and local government areas notwithstanding
He added that hopes are high that the best performed might be picked up for higher levels competitions and subsequent integration into state, National and international tournaments
The president of the Nigeria volley ball federation, Engr Musa Nimrod, the Chairman of the federation Adamawa state DCP rtd. Stephen Hasso and the Adamawa state directorate of sports among other sports lovers and stakeholders have thrown their weights on the tournament
Meanwhile, trophies and medals being contended for were donated by the Mbamtu Bachama ( Wife of the Hama Bachama) Queen Roseline Daniel Shaga and Engineer Tukur Majus Lamurde respectively
