Borno state governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum has commissioned two schools and a primary healthcare centre in Askira Uba local government area of the state, in continuation of his working visit to the southern part of the state.
The schools commissined on Wednesday were Comprehensive Junior Secondary School in Yamirali and Government Secondary School in Rumirgo.
The primary healthcare centre commissined was a 50-bed capacity in Wamdio, with a view to increase access to public medical services in the local government area.
Zulum also laid foundation for the construction of 300 new houses in Rumirgo, where he directed that the project should be completed within six months without compromising engineering standards.
The community has practically expressed her appreciation by presenting to the governor a traditional gift through the District Head of Wamdio.
Speaking to our correspondent, community stakeholders said that, Governor Zulum is simply God’s gift to Borno state, untypical of politics of deception.
“A servant leader whose strong professed faith will not let any cutting corners and looting of public treasury by means of undue inflation of cost of contracts.
“A governor who’ll not mortgage the state to obnoxious, bogus loans that will not have any impact on the community and the common man rather than self and nucleus thrive in thieving group.
“A governor who honours the traditional institution and is fair to the monarchs against anarchist and anti-mutual coexistence.
“A governor who holds tenacious to the rule of law, equality before the law and fundamental human right.
“A governor who’ll tell the hypothetical insurgents and accomplices to conspiracy that in the war to instil sanity against the Satan stained, peace and security, it’s either he’s down or the renegades must be subdued”.
The governor was accompanied by the senator representing Borno south, Mohammed Ali Ndume, state party Chairman Ali Bukar Dalori, other members of state and national assemblies, commissioners and other top officials.
