Monarchy In Maiha: When Elected, I’ll Crown Your District Head Without Undue Delay – Gubernatorial Aspirant

…I shall not be bewitched by sentiment; either religious or tribal, I’m fortified to uphold the rule of law

* You’ve endured and are faithful to the faith you profoundly professed, you’ve been patient and peaceful, I shall backdate the appointment to 3 years; the period of High Court judgement, be rest assured

These were the words of promise, the Gubernatorial candidate of a party, not duly defined, made to the electorates in Jalingo-Maiha district he considered as a community populated with prominent personalities, peace and promising people, desirous but obnoxiously denied of their legitimate monarchy.

The Gubernatorial hopeful candidate, it was not clear whether or not on the pulpit, whether or not on the drum, whether or not he was using microphone to capture the hearings of the large heterogeneous audiences beyond Jalingo-Maiha and/or whether or not via the mainstream electronic or social media.

The address was however loud, clean and clear, devoid of any noise, conditioned by any sentiment.

The world has watched, listened and recorded the various degrees of injuries occasioned by injustice inflicted to the peace living, peace loving and law abiding community, denied by delaying the approval of appointment of her district head. He would remark.

The Gubernatorial candidate urged the community to keep enduring the peace with yet unoccupied palace; that after the election that by the greatest grace of God, could pronounce his victory, the district head palace would become vibrant and that the district head appointment would be backdated to three years when the High Court passed the judgement that was later to be upheld by the Appeal Court and that which the opposition, conditioned by undue sentiment(s), were unable to advance their displeasure of judgement to the Supreme Court.

The appointment of the legitimate district head, as selected by the Emirate Council and declared by the courts of competent jurisdiction would be approved without politically motivated, unconscious bias guided, sentiment induced, doctored by conspiracy, undue executive delay.

The anonymous gubernatorial candidate was at the point of introducing himself and the party under which he was unanimously nominated and elected at the primaries to contest, when the Adhan called to Subhi prayer.

“Sir, the water for ablution is provided,” he was woken up.

“Subhanallah! It it’s a dream,” he would exclaim. Would the community need to have the dream explained?

Is the dream signifying extension of executive delay in the approval of appointment of the district head of Jalingo-Maiha till after the next governorship election?

It is about 8 years with the demise of the district head, about years 5 years delay before the Emirate Council selection and court hearing, 3 years after the High Court judgement and 10 months with the Appeal Court determination.

Can Jalingo-Maiha remain without legitimate district head, even after the Appeal Court judgement, for the next two years?

What a dream! Could it be a medley?
