Dodo Academy has commenced the 2021 – 2022 academic session with recruitment exercise and training of her teaching and non teaching members of staff.
The teaching staff recruited are not just those who have the certificate in education as part of credentials, they also exhibited both theoretical knowledge and practical teaching skills with the zeal to giving their selfless best for quality assurance.
As part of her community service as a social responsibility, Dodo Academy has also invited interested teachers and unemployed graduates desirous of teaching to be drilled with teaching and learning skills as participant.
According to a UK based Board Member, Mahmud Muhammad Dodo, the Academy’s academics and critical thinking group, having observed that teachers in public and most of the private schools in Adamawa state are not given orientation lecture after recruitment, not to talk of post recruitment intensive training, this constraint, the Academy considered as being the beginning of failure in teaching and learning would have to be addressed head on.
Teachers are introduced to some modern educational materials with which to use in teaching Dodo Academy kids.
Dodo Jnr further said that teacher training is among the core principles of the Dodo Academy.
“All teachers must undergo several training on modern techniques of teaching and learning, especially that which relates to pupils.
The week long training includes English Language refresher course for teachers to have good command of language and phonetics; a branch of linguistics study on how humans produce and perceive sounds.
According to the management, Admission forms can be obtained at the school, located at 57 Njuwa road, Damare, Yola Adamawa state.
“Owing to the principles of the Academy with a view to maintaining controlled class size, limited vacancies are currently available for nursery and primary clases.
“The Academy will also operate crèche service for those who want it”, the management said.
The school will be opened for viewing on Monday, 13th September, 2021, a day full academic session will begin.
“A brief ceremony will hold on Monday September 13 by 10.00am at the school’s premise,” the management announced.
