Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC) has reviewed the local government election calendar earlier slated for November 27, 2021.
The spokesman of the Commission, Daniel Zirra announced December 4, 2021 as the new date of the LG election.
The Commission explained that the shift followed a meeting with representatives of political parties presided by the Chairman, Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC), Mallam Isa Shettima.
According to Shettima, some crucial observations were made on the earlier released time table, which led to some changes on the election time table in order to suit the activities of political parties in the state.
“The new date for the election has been scheduled for 4th December, 2021, instead of 27th November, 2021,” he said.
