An outpour of encomiums have trailed Senator Aishatu Ahmed Binani’s gesture in extending hands of fellowship to the blackcap revolution movement, a pressure group in Adamawa State.
Binani who is the incumbent senator representing Adamawa central senatorial zone in national assembly in her latest empowerment package to her constituents, has given the blackcap revolution movement 10 bags of fertilizer.
Leader of the group Mustapha Atiku Ribadu who lauded the senator for her political maturity described the gesture as a show of politics without bitterness.
Ribadu who urged politicians to copy the senator’s magnanimity noted that her action was an unprecedented show political camaraderie that is well appreciated.
“In her latest support to the blackcap movement, the senator has donated 10 bags of fertilizer for onward distribution to our young farmers.
“The Blackcap appreciate the gesture not only because of the quantity but for the senator to remember those who stood with her during her campaign and election,” Ribadu said.
Mustapha who was ecstatic about the olive branch which the senator has been extending to the group recalled that the senator has given the group employment slots in the past.
He expressed optimism that the understanding and cordial working relationship between the two sides will continue to wax stronger in the future.
“We are optimistic that the understanding and camaraderie between the two political camps will wax stronger in the future due to the mutual respect and benefits which both sides of the divide enjoy,” Ribadu noted.
