APC Congress: Yobe Exco Return Elected By Consensus

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) delegates across the 178 electoral wards of Yobe State have adopted consensus to elect the state executives where Alhaji Mohammed Gadaka emerged Yobe State APC Chairman, while Alhaji Baba Kankare Deputy Chairman, Abubakar S. Bakabe State Secretary, Alhaji Modu Kapcha Assistant Secretary, Mustapha Geidam State Zonal Vice Chairman zone A, Alhaji Usman Aljali State Zonal Vice Chairman zone B, Mala Ladan State Zonal Vice Chairman zone C.

Others are Alhaji Ali Mohammed, Legal Adviser, Alhaji Idi Jugujugu, Assistant Legal Adviser, Alhaji Saidu Baba, Treasurer, Alhaji Audu Machina, Assistant Treasurer, Modu Kolo, Financial Secretary, Idi Ali Zagam, Assistant Financial Secretary, Haruna Alhaji, State Organizing Secretary, Umar Kanamma, Assistant Organizing Secretary, Alhaji Bakura Jibrin, Publicity Secretary and Alhaji Ibrahim Baushe, Assistant Publicity Secretary.

Earlier speaking, the Secretary of the State Working Committee, Baba Malam Wali stated that delegates from the 178 electoral wards numbering over 890 would participate in the voting exercise which includes Councillors, Local Government Party Chairmen and legislative members from the state and national assemblies.

Also speaking, the Secretary of the electoral committee, Kawu Sumaila revealed that “APC is today conducting state congresses across Nigeria. We were assigned to come to Yobe State and conduct the election”.

On his part, the Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Senator Osita Izunaso said that they would do everything possible to ensure that they strictly adhere to the constitution of the party. “Yobe State is adopting the option of consensus”.

A house of representatives member for Bursari, Geidam, Yunusari moved the motion for the adoption of consensus for ushering the new State party executives which was seconded by Sidi Yakubu Karasuwa.

In his vote of thanks, the newly elected State Chairman, Alhaji Mohammed Gadaka promised to offer credible leadership and informed Governor Mai Mala Buni that after their swearing-in ceremony, they would like to go round the 17 local government areas of the state to meet the electorates, see projects executed and outline what to be done again.

Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni thanked all the party stakeholders for their maturity and good conduct.

“We thank God for enabling us witness the peaceful exercise, I thank the newly elected Chairman and his executive members”.

“We always remain grateful to President Muhammad Buhari for restoring peaceful coexistence in the Northeast region, he has committed alot of resources on security matters”.
