The Kebbi State Government has confirmed the released of thirty abducted students of Federal Government College, FGC Birnin Yauri, after four months in captivity.
While addressing the students at Government House Birnin Kebbi, Governor Atiku Bagudu, thanked God for their release and urged the students to take heart their abduction as it is a trial from God.
Governor Bagudu, said efforts are still ongoing to secure the release of the remaining abductees.
He directed that, the students should undergo medical screening and be supported before reunited with their families.
The thirty released abductees, comprised of three teachers, two males and one female; while the students includes two girls and 25 boys.
Journalists were not allowed to take photograph of the released students due to security.
