“It has equally traversed multiple historical epoch of note with cherished
interesting landmarks.

“These landmarks, which are evident in both institutional craft and nomenclature have not at any point made it falter away from its known tradition of excellence and pride in providing a calm environment that is rich in the tradition of knowledge,” Fintiri said.

The governor noted that from its days as Modibbo Adama Campus of the
University of Maiduguri; to Federal University of Technology, Yola (FUTY); to Modibbo Adama University of Technology (MAUTECH); and now to Modibbo Adama University (MAU), Yola, it has remained true to its creed; a creed which has continued to make it a preferred destination of learning and research.

“This leap has made everyone eager to be associated with the institution. It was why I personally led the advocacy for its conversion into a conventional university sometimes last year so that its mandate can be expanded to cover other courses that can be useful to the pressing needs of the State and the Country at large.
