NIPR Kaduna State Chapter Integrates New Certified Members

The Kaduna chapter of the NIPR conducted orientation ceremony for twelve of its newly inducted members who just joined the professional body. The exercise which took place on 18th November, 2021 marked a significant epoch in the chapter as it witnessed the onboarding of members from diverse backgrounds and service sectors all United with a common goal to network with professional colleagues.

The State Chairman Mr Haroun Malami while delivering his welcome/keynote address expressed great delight and enthusiasm in receiving the inductees into the fold and charged them not to disappear after collecting their NIPR certificates but to bring their experiences to bear and add value to the Chapter.

He tasked them to make a difference towards curbing the long standing members apathy that the new executives are trying to eradicate and read out the code of conduct and ethics guiding members of the NIPR to them.

One of the high points of the ceremony was the presentation made by the resource person Mr James Swam on the topic: “Creative Message Development Strategies in Crisis Communication For Reputation Managers”

Swam impressed upon the audience, the need for reputation managers to adequately prepare crisis communication strategies ahead of unforeseen crisis to mitigate the negative impact crisis can have on an organization if not properly managed.

Highlights of the ceremony includes remarks by the Vice chairman Mr Moh’d Abdullahi and the Past Chairman/Ex Officio member, Mallam MD El-Nafaty all charging the inductees to actively participate in chapter activities and endeavor to attend NIPR functions so as to gain more practical knowledge of the profession through shared experiences.

More highlights are, robust question and answer session where scenarios were presented and professionally tackled, presentation of certificates and starter kits to new inductees, and a group photograph session.

The Secretary General Mr Ahmed Balarabe Sa’id while appreciating the inductees for their attendance during the closing remarks rolled out the new excos blueprints and readiness to integrate professionals into the chapter in order to strategically position the chapter and to encourage cross learning and networking.
