The All Progressives Congress, APC, gubernatorial flag bearer in Adamawa state, Distinguished Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed, a.k.a Binani has decried persistent killings of innocent citizens, where she said it is unacceptable.
Binani expressed the dismay in a press release Thursday, by means of a condolence message to the family of Reverend Daniel Umaru of EYN Church Njairi in Mubi Local Government Area, Northern Senatorial District of Adamawa State whose house was visited by assailants, where casualties were recorded.
Binani lamented that “the news of the invasion on the home of Reverend Daniel Umaru of EYN Church Njairi in Mubi Local Government Area is depressing.
“The attack by gunmen, which resulted in the killing of two of his sons and the shooting of the man of God, is a source of serious concern that should not be handled with kid gloves.
“I have always maintained, through various motions and matters of urgent public importance sponsored at the Senate, the need for increased security and other community policing initiatives in Adamawa state and more especially the Adamawa North, which is the worst hit by the state of insecurity.
“In addressing this, the Government from Federal to Local Government levels must come together, share intelligence to put a stop to the avoidable losses of innocent lives.
“I send my deepest condolences to the immediate family, the EYN Church and the state at large.
“May God rest the souls of the innocent victims and grant Reverend Daniel quick recovery”.
