Moralising Kannywood: Youth Challenge, Clerics Condemn Sex For Acting (I)

…As FUDECO champions the Pulaaku reorientation: Njangen, Nduren, Ndemen against ignorance, worthless future ambition, exploitation, oppression, subjugation, annihilation and vengeance associated atrocities…

… I’m a star @ entertainment for money not an evangelist to reduce stage, studio or location to pulpit, preaching morality to other families and society is for the cleric and clergy. I guide and guard my kids, other parents should equally be a guide and guardian in morality, it’s a mistake apportioning such a task to one who feeds from acting- Film maker

The war against sex for grades in tertiary institutions has been fought and the war is continuing. Sex for admission, employment and appointment count for another critically criminal consideration with the continuing public lamentations and a call for a holistic systemic review to uphold competency, capacity and capability than any undue, oppressive and exploitative favouritism.

There have been conversations, for more than a decade, on the morality inhere Kannywood. Whilst some of the participants favourable to the media industry are agreed that the film industry is a blessing to the Hausa land and more particularly, to Kano where even those from Kanem join as it creates job opportunities to the youth and women who would have joined the no-ambition-street-scallywags. Other participants in the conversation, especially the Mu’allims, are interpreting it from the lens of morality beyond the Molière’s.

Some have even ignored the integration, incorporation, adaption and/or Bollywood-nation of the Hausa culture in cinematic terms to claim that Kannywood champions the long advocated societal reorientation by Islamising the Hausa films away from Hollywood, Bollywood, Nollywood and if there are, other woods.

The excesses beyond the sociocultural associated with the North, or more particularly, the Hausa exhibited in Kannywood have made the Shekarau leg government to regulate by censoring the Hausa films with a view to Sharia-anate the Kannywood.

The censorship board is however not to survive beyond the Shekarau led government, in terms of full rights to censor.

Promiscuity associated with Nollywood actors behind the scene or screen, has been put forward, a challenge thrown from outside that is always being denied, debunked, falsified and nearly threatened by attempts at litigation.

Recently, what can be considered as Kannyleak has disclosed the open-secret, sex-scandal that counts for sex for acting.

Actresses would, should or must open their legs behind the screen before they can be audition and/or given a role to play to appear on the screen.

Naziru Sarkin wake is among the prominent Kannywood insiders who lament the sex for a acting associated with the Kannywood and called for a holistic systemic review while some film stars keep denying.

The Kano Hisbah would want to hit a hammer on the Nollywood, however, dialogue by means of sanitising the industry would be at the initial stage, necessary. It’s simply a source and cause of critical concern why critical stakeholders in the industry would want to shelve the Hisbah-Kannywood dialogue, leaving some concerned actresses lamenting oppression, suppression and exploitation associated with the sex for acting.

While the conversation is hitting hard on morality or otherwise inhere Kannywood, the Fulbe Development and Cultural Organization, FUDECO, has championed the Pulaaku reorientation: Njangen, Nduren, Ndemen against ignorance, worthless future ambition, exploitation, oppression, subjugation, annihilation and vengeance associated atrocities with a view to liberate and emancipate the pastoralists; from Adamawa, Jigawa to Nassarawa, from Jalingo to Jos and from Bauchi to Benue covering the entire northern states and beyond.
